ULSU Bursaries
The Students' Union makes available $118,500 in scholarships and bursaries each year for the University of Lethbridge students. They have a wide range of qualifications to accommodate a variety of circumstances.

Students' Union Quality Initiatives Bursary
This bursary has a minimum value of $1,000. Available to students enrolled in any degree program at the University of Lethbridge. Candidates must have successfully completed a minimum of six graded semester courses in the previous Fall and Spring semesters at the University of Lethbrige. This bursary is based on financial need, and academic achievement (minimum 2.0 GPA). Tenable upon confirmation of full-time enrollment at the University of Lethbridge in the Fall and Spring semesters immediately following the granting of the award.
Students' Union Placement Bursary
One $500 bursary for each semester available to students in any program of studies who have completed at least one full-time study term semester at the U of L. The intent of this bursary is to assist students who encounter exceptional expenses related to a placement that requires the student to relocate to another location (e.g. Co-op work-term placements, Professional Semester placements, Internship placements, Exchange placements). Financial need and a cumulative GPA of at least 2.50 is required. Tenable upon confirmation of full-time enrollment at the U of L in the semester immediately following the granting of the award. Students holding Executive Council positions in the year of application or award will not be eligible to receive this award.
Application DEADLINES for this Bursary are: November 1: for travel during the following Spring and Summer semesters (January - August). March 1: for travel during the following Summer and Fall semesters (May - December). July 1: for travel during the following Fall and Spring semesters (September - April).
Students' Union Bursary
Three $500 bursaries are available to students enrolled in a degree program at the University of Lethbridge. Candidates must have successfully completed a minimum or eight graded semester courses in the previous Fall and Spring semesters at the U of L. Two of the candidates must be entering the 3rd or 4th year of their program at the U of L. The selection will be based on financial need and an academic achievement (minimum GPA of 3.0). Community service may be considered. Tenable upon confirmation of enrollment at the U of L in the Fall and Spring Semester immediately following the granting of the award. Students holding Executive Council positions in the year of the application or award will not be eligible to receive this award.
Students' Union Coca-Cola Bursary
Two $500 Scholarships available to students enrolled in a degree program at the University of Lethbridge. Candidates must have successfully completed a minimum of eight graded semester courses in the previous Fall and Spring semesters at the University of Lethbridge. Criteria is based on academic achievement. Tenable upon confirmation of full-time enrollment at the University of Lethbridge in the Fall and Spring semesters immediately following the granting of the award. Money used to fund this award is derived from an agreement the Students' Union signed with the Coca-Cola Company. It is a 10-year agreement with the first awards disbursed in Fall 2004. Extension of the award beyond 10 years is at the discretion of the donor.
Students' Union Emergency Bursary
One $500 bursary is available to a full-time student with at least 3rd year standing in any degree program at the U of L. Selection will be based on financial need exacerbated by an emergency situation and good standing. Tenable upon confirmation of full-time enrollment at the U of L in the current semester. Separate application required. No deadline date. Students holding Executive Council positions in the year of application of award, will not be eligible to receive these awards.
Student Wise Bursary
In recognition of the significant financial commitment that students make in pursuit of their educational goals, StudentWise Health and Dental Plan is pleased to provide some assistance in the form of an annual bursary.
On behalf of the University of Lethbridge and StudentWise Health and Dental Plan, we are pleased to make available $1000 towards the bursary. This bursary is available only to those students who remain covered by the StudentWise plan offered through the Students' Union at the University of Lethbridge.
