Table Rental Space in the Students' Union Building
The Students' Union building is a high traffic area with 7,000 students passing through each day, making it an excellent location for vendors to sell or promote goods. The Students' Union is the main administrative building, housing a wide variety of departments including the Registrar's Office, Students' Union office, Health Centre, Recruitment and Student Life & Convocation office. A popular food court, campus pub and restaurant, as wells as the Bookstore are located in this building.
The tables are situated right beside the Food Court with the main university bus terminal just outside.
Table Use Policy
There are three tables available to rent from 9:00am – 4:30pm. To take advantage of peak traffic, we recommend all vendors be fully operational from 10:00am – 3:00pm.
The rental includes an eight-foot table with two chairs. Since space is limited, excess displays or materials are not permitted. Availability of power is also limited and extension cords are not provided. If more chairs or access to power is needed, please notify the Students' Union at the time of booking.
Tables must be left in the same condition as when supplied. Use only masking tape when taping to tables. The table and surrounding area is to be cleaned at the end of each day. If you are booking a table for more then one day and have excess materials you would like stored for the next day, let us know so we can make the appropriate ccommodations.
Operation is limited to a one-meter parameter of the assigned table. Approaching or aggressively soliciting any individual is prohibited. If a complaint is made you will be asked to leave the area immediately.
Fire and building regulations must be followed. Please leave the table were it has been placed. Obstructing hallways, doorways, and stairwells is not permitted.
Failure to comply with the above guidelines may result in the immediate cancellations of the rental without a refund.
- Regular Bookings $50 a day plus 5% G.S.T.
- Corporate Bookings $200 a day plus 5% G.S.T.
- Parking $11 for a full day
- Payments can be made at anytime before the use of the table. (Including same day)
- Payments are accepted by Cash, Visa or Mastercard.
September or January Bookings. - Payments for September must be made by August 15 (or will be cancelled)
- Payments for January must be made by December 15 (or will be cancelled)
- Payments are accepted by cash, debit, Visa or Mastercard.
- Cancellations can be made up to three weeks before the event to receive a full refund. All other cancellations will not receive a refund.
Exclusivities
Due to the location or the tables, there is a concern over exclusivity rights. You may not sell any food products or items that have the University Logo.
As a consideration for all vendors, the Students' Union will try not to book competitive vendors on the same day. This is not guarantee but a consideration.
